One party rule

Is the oneparty rule good/bad

I think the one party rule is not a feasible way to rule a state. A government is rightly supposed to represent citizens, majorities and minorities. Having a single party might not adequately represent the citizens, resulting in minorities' not being reflected in parliamentary. Having a one party rule also restricts the free flow of ideas which aims to improve the way a state is governed. This cannot be achieved under a one party rule as the single party ruling will have its own set of policies and we think that a variety of policies will help progression. We think that unity can also be achieved under different parties ruling because, after all, all these parties all have the goal of betterment of their state. Although a single party has the same goals too, it does not represent minorities and restricts free flow of ideas. Singapore has adopted the system of different party rules, consisting of PAP, workers party and so on, and although singapore is a state ruled as a single party ostensibly, it does not reject other parties. This gives power to freedom of rights. And so far, singapore has been thriving under this state of government.
